It’s paired with an 8-speed electronically controlled transmission and has great fuel efficiency for a half-ton truck, with 18 MPG in the city and 21 MPG on the highway.

For V8 enthusiasts, there is a 5.3-liter EcoTec3 engine that generates 355 horsepower and 383 foot-pounds of torque and a 6.2-liter EcoTec3 that delivers 420 horsepower and 460 foot-pounds of torque. Finally, there’s an available 3.0-liter DuraMax Turbo Diesel available in some trim levels that produces 305 horsepower and 495 foot-pounds of torque.
